Dr. Jonathan Wade has been working in education for 20+ years. His disciplinary training is in history, law, literature, and philosophy. He has an MA in Ethics from Vanderbilt University and a Ph.D. in the Humanities from the University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Wade has served as an instructor of English Literature and the Humanities in face to face classes at three different universities and has taught online for four universities using multiple learning management systems. He served for 10 years as a faculty member and department chair at the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching where he founded a now flourishing online program for professional development for the public school teachers of North Carolina. In 2018-19, he served as the interim director for the Coulter Faculty Commons at Western Carolina University in addition to continuing the work of his permanent role as the Senior Educational Technologist for the campus.
